EBCOG trainee fellowship
EBCOG has, with the valuable help of ENTOG, embarked upon an exciting new pilot project, to encourage mobility of trainees in obstetrics and gynaecology in Europe. EBCOG hopes the project will also serve to increase harnonisation of training in obstetrics and gynaecology in its member countries.
EBCOG has awarded three individual fellowhips late 2011, worth 3000 euro each, to trainees to spend a three-month period in a foreign training centre, recognised by EBCOG.
The successful candidates were
Dr Ingrid Elisabeth Vock (Sweden), who travelled to Heidelberg (Germany) to improve her surgical skills and gynaecological oncology knowledge
Dr Burak Tatar (Turkey) who travelled to Torino (Italy) to focus on postoperative care and differences in surgical methods
Dr Krzysztof Galczynski (Poland) who went to improve his knowledge and skills in laparoscopy in France
All three candidates travelled to their foreign centre in 2012. Their experiences can be found through the following links:
We were very pleased with the wide interest from trainees from all over Europe and the high quality of their applications.
For further information about the application process for 2013 please follow the guidelines published.
The application period for 2013 is now CLOSED.
