Overview
This Sixth Annual New Horizons in Women’s Health 2010 has been planned in partnership with the Society for Health Outcomes in Women and has been designed to meet the updated CME guidelines requiring that outcomes measurement be linked to all educational interventions. The conference, designed as an extremely interactive and supportive learning experience, will address topics that continue to present challenging treatment issues, such as PCOS, chronic pelvic pain, and new cancer screening recommendations and follow-up management. An intense review of topics in urogynecology is planned. To satisfy requests from past year’s participants, an in-depth review of obstetrical emergencies, including management of shoulder dystocia and thrombophilia have been added, as well as a complete review of vaccines for women. This year, the faculty offers Journal Club at Sea, an interactive study of current articles selected by registered participants prior to sailing. This extremely popular conference is attended by more than 50% of previous conference alumnae.
